  5. Thank you lord, and sony, for bringing us such a beautiful testimonial for the grand piano. The instrument that has been build for over years, but still holds its treasures. Not to mention Bartoks piano works, nor Gyorgy Sandors interpretation. This is a must have. Never mind the cover, you wont get any closer to Bartok with his interpretation.5/5(3).
  6. The only exceptions were Lipatti with Sacher in concert in (Dinu Lipatti: Bach Concerto BWV / Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1 / Bartók Piano Concerto No. 3, but the recording was made public only at the end of the s), Farnadi with Scherchen in (although their more spacious tempos went with much bite and muscularity also) and /5(9).
  7. György Sándor gave the world premiere of this concerto in , just a few months after Bartök's death. His deep knowledge of the composer's works and special insights into the style make this account indispensable, even if it is not as brilliantly played as some.5/5(1).
  8. Aug 14,  · Sandor’s many recordings included the complete music for solo piano of Kodaly and Sergey Prokofiev. György Sándor was born in in Budapest, where he studied the piano with Bartók for four years at the Liszt Academy as well as composition with Zoltán Kodály.
